Living With Fibromyalgia (which Isn't a Joint Disorder)
Firstly, I would like to clearly state that Fibormyalgia isn't a joint disorder! In fact, I was dissapointed that FMS wasn't an option under "health". A brief medical description of FMS is as follows: "Inflamation of the fibrous or connective tissue of the body. Coupled with widespread muscle pain, fatigue and multiple tender point, FMS can be debilitating". Of course... (posted by Cheryl 1 year 93 days ago.)

An Education That Is Non-Cirriculum Based
As a Secondary Educator of 18 years, I have often asked myself, Does a student's education always have to be directly in line with a National Curriculum? Do we have to always teach to pass an exam, GCSE's or a test? Why can't we teach our kids some real life skills? Isn't an education more than book knowledge? I have made it a personal responsibility to my students and to myself... (posted by Cheryl 1 year 116 days ago.)

Speaking in Secondary Education
Speaking is something we all do every day. On an average day (Secondary Education) as an Educator, we speak to 80 teenagers throughout the day. This number doesn't take into account the number of staff we speak to as well. How many of us actually take the time to think before we speak? Do you think about the tone of your voice or your body language? Are you taking into consideration each... (posted by Cheryl 1 year 116 days ago.)

Parenting Doesn't Come With a How To Guide, Especially For Teenagers.
We as parents all know that it would be rather convient if raising our teenagers came with a how to guide. Just think how easy all our lives would be. The reality of raising teenagers is firstly being aware, it isn't gong to be easy, there will be tears and drama and someday, the teen years do pass. Hindsight is always 20/20. I am not only a parent... (posted by Cheryl 1 year 121 days ago.)

Educator of Secondary Education
For the past 18 years of my life, I have been a Secondary Educator. I have taught in both America and currently in the United Kingdom. Although we share one basic language, we are worlds apart in the way we teach, curriculum and students behavior. We in the field of Secondary Ed know just how difficult our career choice is yet we still awake each day (give or take) around 6:30 a.m. we rise... (posted by Cheryl 1 year 127 days ago.)

Speaking, listening and Body Language At Work!
Since becoming a single Mom of two children in 1987, I have become consumed with information about communication. Fearful that my family unit might break down, I put myself into counseling as well as having my two children see a Child Psychologist once a week. I wanted to be certain that not only did I know how to communicate with my children but I wanted to ensure my listening... (posted by Cheryl 1 year 140 days ago.)
